Create a Facebook Fundraiser

If you have a Facebook account, you can create a fundraising campaign to celebrate a special event AND benefit Friends.  Do you have a special day that you’d like to share with your Facebook friends like a birthday, anniversary, or special holiday?

Here are the easy steps to take a month before your special day:

  1. Click Fundraisers in the left menu of your News Feed;
  2. Click Raise Money;
  3. Select Nonprofit/Charity;
  4. Select Friends of Mexican Animal Welfare, choose a cover photo and fill in the fundraiser details; and
  5. Click Create.

This is the information that you’ll need to use the pull-down menu shown above:

  • The name of the nonprofit you want to raise money for. We happen to recommend Friends of Mexican Animal Welfare,
  • The amount of money you want to raise,
  • The date you want the fundraiser to end, and
  • A title and description for your fundraiser.

You create the fundraiser right on your Facebook page, then promote it to your friends. How easy is that?

Funds you raise will be deposited directly into Friends’ account. We appreciate your generosity and your commitment to Friends’ work to help animals and the communities they live in.
